The terminal was built in 1907 and was recently restored to its original beauty, including a Tiffany glass ceiling. The copper facade was the same copper used to construct the Statue of Liberty. The terminal was both a railroad and ferry terminal. An ebayer has advised that my description is incoorrect and offers as follows: Your certificate for sale, Hoboken Railroad and Terminal Company, incorrectly is affiliated to the Lackawanna Railroad through its terminal. Rather it is a part of the Hoboken shore Railroad, a separate and distinct entity. The Hoboken Shore Railroad, a switching railroad, was a half mile long complex servicing the docks, factories, and warehouses on the Hoboken waterfront. It went out of business in 1979.
