The bond is dated September 1 , 1927. The company was incorporated in Delaware in 1927. The terminal was built in 1907 and was recently restored to its original beauty, including a Tiffany glass ceiling. The copper facade was the same copper used to construct the Statue of Liberty. The terminal was both a railroad and ferry terminal. An ebayer has advised that my description is incoorrect and offers as follows: Your certificate for sale, Hoboken Railroad and Terminal Company, incorrectly is affiliated to the Lackawanna Railroad through its terminal. Rather it is a part of the Hoboken shore Railroad, a separate and distinct entity. The Hoboken Shore Railroad, a switching railroad, was a half mile long complex servicing the docks, factories, and warehouses on the Hoboken waterfront. It went out of business in 1979. There was no physical connection to the Lackawanna Railroad and no involvement in the construction of the it’s terminal in Hoboken. Please visit my store to view other stock certificates and bonds.
