Large Mounted Photograph of an Identified Silver Miner. It is mounted and looks like a very large cabinet photograph. Measures 9 1/4″ x 7″. On the reverse it is identified as Anton Papurel, the president of Papurel and Graham Mountain Mining Company. We think the photograph is circa 1890’s-1905. We were able to find a record of Anton (Antonio). He was born in Italy in 1876. He was married in 1907 to Marie Bertita. They were living in Shoshone Idaho. He died in 1937 at the age of 61 as the result of a fall, but we don’t know why. Also included is a stock certificate for his mining company. It is dated 1928. Condition: The stock certificate is in Excellent condition. The photograph has repairs and damage, but views very well, and is very interesting. Someone used some sort of tape scotch? It is stable and sturdy. Please see our large scans for an accurate representation of the image. As always satisfaction guaranteed.
