China 1913 Lung-Tsing-U-Hai Railway Gold Loan (RESERVE STOCK) – Mint condition. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE PIECE ONLY WHICH IS SHOWN ABOVE. Classified as type 281 RS in China’s Foreign Debt 1865 1982 by Wilhelm Kuhlman. Obviously less have survived today and probably only very few of which had survived in pristine condition. These RS bonds are very rare comparing to their Regular Issue counterpart which over 220,000 pieces are made and most are still outstanding , Whlhelm Kuhlman quoted these bonds in his well-known book (China’s Foreign Debt 1865 – 1982) with a valuation 3 times higher than the regular issues, for reference please view the last photo which is taken from the page 81 of the book. This bond is in outstanding condition with complete coupon sheet, paper is extremely crisp and fresh without any discolorations, the bond has perfect edges and very sharp corners and is free from any folds or tears, there are only one or two small flicks on the left-upper corner which were caused by the direct contact with the staples on other bonds where this bond was stored in between, other than that the bond is totally uncirculated – truly remarkable condition for such a large bond that is over 100 years old.
