Extremely RARE The German National Bank of Newport Kentucky. Two Books of 300 certificates each totaling 600 certificates. The first issued to James M. Southgate, which would likely be the grandson of the famous Richard Southgate, who founded the City of Southgate. The last used stock certificate was in the 2nd book # 447. The remaining are blank certificates. The first book is in worse condition due to age and more use. Has various papers also stapled on some certificates as well as stamps and cancelations such as cuts and paper punches. Older certs have various folds and damage as well as being more brittle and subject to damage. Could have had some water or moisture at some point.
