This is an old stock certificate from the Colorado Gold Mining Company, issued to Wm. Alden Trustee for 150 shares on Jan. 2, 1866 and signed by president Joseph Andrews and Treasurer R. McLaughlin (these names are as near as I can tell, may actually be a bit different). This company is listed in Hollister’s ” The Mines of Colorado ” p. 167-168 as having workings on the Burroughs Lode in the Central City district. You will receive the exact certificate shown, #304.
