PAIR Norfolk & Western 1880s (one 1885 and one 1888) ten share Stock Certificates, each with BRITISH REVENUE STAMPS that were applied when these made the trip across the pond. 1 January 5, 1885 10 share certificate issued to Heseltine, Powell & Company with a blue-green two shilling revenue stamp. On the reverse, the certificate was transferred to Martin & Co. Esquire” and at the bottom, “Percy C. Stacey 11, Copsthall, four V, London, E. These were the only ones with British Revenue Stamps from a large group of these certificates that I owned. Each are personally signed by the President F. Kimball and Secretary of Norfolk & Western. You are getting the exact ones pictured. These are cancelled certificates, issued and redeemeed. Punch cancellation markings that all were part of the redemtion process are on each. Lots of transfer marks and notations. Each has three light folds from being folded and placed in the safety deposit box of the owner. A beautiful pair – as matched as possible.
