Unlike scanned sample they do not touch the vignette or the title at all! However, when it comes to old Ford stock certificates, like this one (dated 1976), they are a disappearing breed. Reasons for this include: 1 The design of Ford stocks was revised 3 times since the 1970’s rendering this design obsolete 4 decades ago. How many shareholders do you know who still have their original Ford certs from the 60’s or 70’s? 3 The value of Ford stock, adjusted for splits, has risen tenfold or more since the 1970’s which has led to the redemption of all but a handful of share certificates, with few if any in dealer or collector hands. Not only is this stock a RARE survivor, it also looks GREAT with a 5.25 wide steel engraved vignette showing the FIRST Ford on a pedestal before urban and rural highways in the background and a large title in the familiar company lettering. The corporate logo displays the date 1919. Last but not least, you won’t find a crispier, cleaner Ford cert anywhere for the price. It has NO folds, splits, tears, holes (save tiny pinhole cancellations at the bottom), uneven margins, stains, soiling, dirt or other defects.
