China 1913 Lung-Tsing-U-Hai Railway Gold Loan (RESERVE STOCK) – Mint condition. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE PIECE ONLY WHICH IS SHOWN ABOVE. Classified as type 281 RS in China’s Foreign Debt 1865 1982 by Wilhelm Kuhlman. Obviously less have survived today and probably only very few of which have survived in pristine condition. These RS bonds are very rare and highly collectible comparing to their Regular Issue counterpart which, is in fact one of the most common Chinese bonds despite of being currently overpriced due to speculations (historically there were over 220,000 pieces of Regular bonds issued in 1913 and 1937 and most of them are still outstanding). Whlhelm Kuhlman quoted these RS bonds in his authoritative guide book (China’s Foreign Debt 1865 – 1982, published in 1983) with a valuation 3 times higher than the Regular issues, for reference please view the last photo which is taken from the page 81 of the book. This bond is in uncirculated condition with full coupon sheet, paper is extremely crisp and fresh without ANY discolorations or stains, the bond has great edges and sharp corners (as pictured) and is free from any folds, creases or tears. There are a few tiny early flicking marks on edge areas which is almost unavoidable for any uncirculated bonds of such big size (51cm X 36.7cm), for this type of bond this is as good as it gets, truly remarkable condition considering it is over 100 years old. Price is reasonable too for what it is. This item is (life-time) genuine guaranteed. Track Page Views With. Auctiva’s FREE Counter.
