The Gold Hill placer is a twenty acre unpatented Claim located in the Jamestown Gold mining district of Boulder Co. This undocumented mine has notable placer workings as well as a caved mine adit on the north west ridge of the claim. Substantial placer workings are located near the creek. Evidence of a steam shovel operation or a small dredge site have been uncovered near the inside bend of the creek. Large tailings piles of river stone are piled up to three feet in height. Pan, sluice or setup a high-banker for greater production of the river gravels. Crush the ore dump for hidden values. Re-open the old mine and explore for minerals and artifacts.
