This is a large bond certificate from the’Dayton & Michigan Railroad Company,’ of Ohio. It was issued in 1853 and has a vignette of a Native American waving at a passing train. It measures about 16.5″ x 13.5″ and has a wax seal. It has the original folds and pen cancellations. It shows light wear including some ink rot and a small bit of fold split in a couple of places.
